I promise I do actually work full-time and I’m not constantly flitting off on London adventures or to whichever city strikes my fancy (although that would be great). But even though I’d just come back from Paris on Wednesday, I got up bright and early Saturday morning; met up with Jessie, Lucy, and Kristabel and took a coach to Bath.
The lovely Megan had organized a Christmas meet-up in her hometown, so we were en route to meet up with 30 other blogger babes. It was my first time being outside of London in England; I really enjoyed getting to see so many villages from the bus window and I definitely fell in love with Bath. Plus it was really exciting to be able to meet so many of the lovely faces behind blogs that I’ve loved for a long time.
I’ll be sharing more about this wonderful event soon, but before we met up with the other girls (and one boy), Jessie was kind enough to snap a few outfit photos for me. There was a gaudy Christmas jumper competition going on, but alas I didn’t have one to participate with. The only remotely Christmas-y piece I have with me in the UK is this vintage emerald green, raw silk dress. It was a bit over-the-top for daytime, but when has that ever stopped me? Paired with a couple of choice accessories, I think I was able to put together quite a festive look.
I was wearing a 1950s vintage raw silk dress; a 1950s beaded cardigan; Primark tights; Glam-tiques Roadshoe flats; a necklace from Dollarama (yes, really); earrings by David Oakley and a headband that I made.
Thank you so much to Megan for organizing the event. It was clear that she put a lot of time into it and it was a truly lovely day. I can’t wait to visit Bath again soon!
