What I Wore: The Urban Pixie in Her Natural Setting

outfit4I’m working on a new portfolio site for my writing and my friend Katherine, who I met through the Network of Nice, was kind enough to take some photos for me yesterday.

She’s taking a year-long photography course and they’re currently focusing on portraits, so the timing worked out really well.

I want my branding to be really fun and playful, so I wore this mismatched outfit of stripes with polka dots. We walked along Brick Lane, stopping whenever we saw a doorway, wall, or mural that looked like it might be a good backdrop.

Here’s a peek at what I wore and the colourful street art of East London…

outfit3outfit6outfit2outfit5outfit1outfit7I’m wearing a top from H&M, a thrifted skirt (H&M), Calvin Klein tights, Frye boots, vintage beads, a thrifted ring, and earrings from Oaks.

We were so lucky that the predicted rain held off and we were able to enjoy a lovely stroll in the sunshine.

I’m really pleased with how the photos came out and can’t wait to share my new website with you as soon as it’s finished.

Katherine and I are also going to be collaborating on a couple of photo projects soon, one that’s especially for this blog. So I’ll be sharing all of those details soon.

For now, have a happy Sunday, pixies!
