london >> thanksgiving abroad.

This year I’m thankful for being blessed with the most loving family and supportive friends a girl could ask for; for prosperity, health, and this opportunity to travel; and for being able to share our little Canadian Thanksgiving tradition with new friends overseas, and, of course, for good food.

Elyse made a roast chicken and I ate vegan sausage rolls. We had mashed potatoes with grainy mustard, green beans and brussel sprouts fried in garlic, and sweet potatoes with sage butter. The only thing missing was a pie (and cranberry sauce)!

Everything was so delicious and it was a nice reminder that, even when you’re far away from everything familiar, you can still bring pieces of home and family with you.

What are you thankful for this year? What are your favourite Thanksgiving foods?

xoxo
