What I Wore for a Blogger Date (black on black on black on black)

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Xandra of Fashionably Light (remember her awesome guest post?) She recommended we check out Wild Food Cafe, a vegetarian and raw food restaurant I’d hoped to visit last time I was in London but hadn’t had a chance to, so I was very happy to agree.

We each ordered different versions of the raw pizza and I was blown away by how flavourful and interesting it was. But even better than the food, was instantly feeling at ease and having a wonderful conversation with someone I’d only just met. We chatted about the theatre, blogging, our personal bucket lists, the cities we love, our thoughts on style and minimalism, magic, and so much more.

The great thing about meeting up with a fellow blogger is that they don’t blink an eye when you take out your camera to snap a photo of your meal or ask them to take a few shots of your outfit. So, after lunch we stepped outside for a quick photo shoot against a colourful wall in Neal’s Yard. Take a look…

dsc_0300dsc_0303dsc_0292dsc_0313sarahI’m wearing a vintage lace skater dress, a vintage sequinned sweater, tights from Primark, knee socks from Ardene, vintage suede shoes, and the bullet casing necklaces I made.

And in case you’re curious, here’s a peek at what I had to eat…raw-pizzaPumpkin crust with roasted red pepper marinara, olive cheese, avocado, arugula, pesto, and heart of palm. So delicious! I’m already dreaming up ways to recreate it at home.

After taking our photos (and getting some curious looks from passersby), we walked around the corner to take a gander at the mystical offerings at The Astrology Shop. I picked up a salt crystal tea light holder that I decided needed to live on my desk.

I’m gutted that Xandra will be heading back to the States in a couple of months, but I’m so glad we’ll get to know each other while we’re both living in the same city. We’re already planning some really fun adventures, so stay tuned…

I always get so many strange looks when I photograph my food at restaurants!

  3. HI Sarah! You both look adorable – I’m glad you are getting to meet other bloggers over there. I love your hair tucked up like that.

A blog note – I find the small, thin font you’re using very light and hard to read. Could just be my age ;)

  4. Love the recent update of your site. Yay! You’re in England. You look great! It’s a lovely country with amazing areas to explore. Can’t wait to see more. x Tamara
